Materials Lab General Helper

Responsibilities

• Perform metallurgical sample preparation including cutting, grinding, polishing, acid etching, and mounting
• Operate and maintain testing equipment such as Instrons and surface scanners
• Contribute to printing operations such as vacuuming powder and loading build plates
• Work with the engineering team to collect data and conduct testing and analysis
• Perform data entry and report generation
• Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline testing procedures
• Contribute to installation and commissioning of new material testing machines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Availability to work the second shift (1:30 PM – 9:30 PM)
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in materials, mechanical testing, or semiconductor/chemical processing
• Experience in metallurgical sample preparation
• Experience operating complex equipment or handling hazardous materials
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
