Materials Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Monitor daily site progress and report deviations from planned works to the Senior Works Inspector or Resident Engineer
• Ensure construction materials and workmanship meet specified project standards
• Review and verify material deliveries and storage compliance
• Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to address technical or quality-related issues
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, daily reports, and required project documentation
• Report safety violations or hazardous conditions to the HSE team
• Support the resolution of non-conformances and assist with follow-up inspections

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or supervision
• At least 5 years of experience working in a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of construction methods, technical drawings, and material specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience on large-scale infrastructure or public works projects (roads, utilities, drainage)
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations
• Experience working in the Gulf region
• Arabic language skills
