Materials Handler

Responsibilities

• Manage material flow by ensuring required materials are drawn from appropriate locations and staged for production lines
• Operate forklifts and other lift equipment to support shipping, receiving, and production feeding
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading/unloading shipments and inspecting for damage
• Support inventory control through warehouse organization and participating in cycle counts
• Prepare orders for shipment by packaging necessary materials and providing accurate documentation
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or distribution environment
• 2+ years of experience operating a forklift (Counterbalance preferred; Telehandler is an asset)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility and outdoors during inclement weather
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stepping over objects, and securing dunnage
