Materials Designer - PVC Matrices for Coated Fabrics

Responsibilities

• Design and characterize innovative materials by integrating structure/property relationships and material-process interactions
• Formulate and prototype new matrices, specifically PVC at a laboratory scale, and support scale-up processes
• Recommend equipment evolutions or implementation parameters in collaboration with process teams
• Conduct technology watch, knowledge capitalization, and support intellectual property strategies
• Lead external collaborations with laboratories and industrial partners to strengthen internal research

Requirements

• Degree in materials science, polymer physico-chemistry, or plastics engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience with a Master's degree (Bac+5) or 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree (Bac+3)
• Expertise in PVC formulation, characterization, and implementation
• Proficiency in extrusion (indispensable), coating, and calendering processes
• Professional English proficiency (minimum B2 level)
• French proficiency (B2 level)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of interface science, adhesion, or eco-design
• Previous experience working specifically with coated fabrics
