Materials Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Process customer order requirements received via electronic, fax, email, or mail
• Manage and maintain customer requirement schedules within the ERP system
• Prepare essential shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and customs documents
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure all parts are ready for delivery in the shipping area
• Arrange freight pickups via various carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and truck carriers
• Process receipts accurately and timely into the ERP system
• Maintain clean and organized shipping and receiving areas following 5S and Continuous Improvement processes
• Communicate order status and delivery updates to customers and internal departments
• Load and unload steel coils using an overhead crane and operate a forklift

Requirements

• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
• Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing production processes
• Computer literacy and mathematical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Willingness to undergo crane training (training will be provided by Martinrea)
• Excellent communication skills
