Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments on the shop floor and perform systematic checks against purchase orders
• Inspect high-value items like battery systems and transformers, documenting condition with photos
• Identify and escalate discrepancies such as short shipments, wrong parts, or damaged goods
• Log all receipts accurately in the receiving system, including serial and lot numbers
• Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for any damaged or non-conforming material
• Support purchase order creation, tracking, and expediting across active projects
• Place orders with approved vendors and confirm pricing, lead times, and ship dates
• Perform three-way matches on invoices to verify quantity, part number, and price

Requirements

• Experience in purchasing, receiving, inventory, or materials coordination
• Experience in a hardware, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Hands-on experience physically receiving and verifying shipments against POs
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and maintaining clean, organized data
• Strong attention to detail regarding part numbers, quantities, and serial numbers
• Ability to work hands-on in a shop floor environment handling heavy electrical equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with energy storage, batteries, or electrical components
• Familiarity with procurement or spend management software
• Experience writing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Experience at a startup or early-stage hardware company
• Basic understanding of shipping documentation or freight coordination
• Class 8 truck license
