About the role
Responsibilities
- Handle and control raw materials, including dispensing, sampling, and inventory management within a cGMP environment.
- Ensure proper receipt of incoming materials, confirming they match purchase orders and processing transactions in the ERP system.
- Perform physical tasks related to receiving, sampling, and storing raw materials, finished products, and in-process materials.
- Execute dispensing operations according to Master Production Records, utilizing scales, fume hoods, and glove boxes.
- Coordinate inventory control of all raw materials and components in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
- Maintain required segregation, security, labeling, and storage conditions for all inventory.
- Generate bills of lading and declarations for hazardous materials.
- Investigate quality events and discrepancies, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of supply chain experience in a cGMP life science or biotech manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP inventory transactions.
- Knowledge of handling temperature-sensitive products and working in cold storage areas.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to wear various PPE, including a respirator, and work with chemicals/hazardous goods.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or some college coursework.
- Familiarity with DOT, IATA, and Hazardous Material regulations.
