About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive creative and integrated analytical solutions for internal and external requestors
  • Participate in experimental design, execution, and methodology optimization
  • Process, review, and interpret experimental results using process chemistry knowledge
  • Independently adapt new methodologies to current projects
  • Safely operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Generate analytical reports to meet R&D needs and product registration requirements
  • Effectively communicate results to the Chemours R&D community
  • Formulate work plans and manage/prioritize daily workflow

Requirements

  • BSc in Chemistry or a closely related field of study
  • 0-2+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with general laboratory manipulations and analytical sample preparation
  • Hands-on experience with XRF, TGA, NMR, and FTIR analytical technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to safe laboratory operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Experience with additional spectroscopic techniques such as Raman or UV-Vis
  • Experience with particle sizing techniques like DLS or MALS
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical techniques including DSC, DMA, or viscometry
  • Proficiency in advanced processing and statistical analysis of analytical data
  • 6s training or equivalent certification
