About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive creative and integrated analytical solutions for internal and external requestors
- Participate in experimental design, execution, and methodology optimization
- Process, review, and interpret experimental results using process chemistry knowledge
- Independently adapt new methodologies to current projects
- Safely operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Generate analytical reports to meet R&D needs and product registration requirements
- Effectively communicate results to the Chemours R&D community
- Formulate work plans and manage/prioritize daily workflow
Requirements
- BSc in Chemistry or a closely related field of study
- 0-2+ years of professional experience
- Experience with general laboratory manipulations and analytical sample preparation
- Hands-on experience with XRF, TGA, NMR, and FTIR analytical technologies
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to safe laboratory operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Experience with additional spectroscopic techniques such as Raman or UV-Vis
- Experience with particle sizing techniques like DLS or MALS
- Experience with thermal and mechanical techniques including DSC, DMA, or viscometry
- Proficiency in advanced processing and statistical analysis of analytical data
- 6s training or equivalent certification
