About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and develop new materials or improve existing material properties
  • Assist in decision-making and material selection based on specifications
  • Evaluate material performance against specific project needs
  • Plan, supervise, and analyze test results for physico-chemical properties
  • Write detailed technical reports on material characteristics and test results
  • Elaborate technical specifications and requirements
  • Provide technical support to production, industrialization, and quality departments
  • Act as a technical expert during pre-sales phases to understand client needs
  • Support the development of expertise and knowledge within the professional community
  • Participate in major external events, conferences, and industry associations

Requirements

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Physics, Chemistry, or Mechanics
  • Specialization in Materials Science or Materials Engineering is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of physico-chemical material properties
  • Understanding of material manufacturing processes and associated risks
  • Proficiency in measurement techniques, analysis, testing, and characterization methods
  • Ability to use CAD and simulation software
  • Knowledge of laboratory and industrial best practices
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
