Materials and Processes Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and motivate a team of approximately 20 M&P engineers and technicians specializing in Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE)
• Collaborate with Program, Fabrication, and Engineering leaders on top priorities, RIO management, and technology insertions
• Ensure the team meets commitments regarding design development, liaison support, qualifications, and supply chain activities
• Manage and execute team operations according to budget, staffing requirements, and business health metrics
• Lead the Quality Management team and the BCA NDT Certification Board as a leader of the NDT Certification Management system
• Foster an inclusive, emotionally safe, and collaborative work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 5+ years of experience bringing new technology trends into production (e.g., Aerospace or Manufacturing industries)
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale cross-functional project management)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Materials & Process Engineering
• Working knowledge of Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) and its application within the aerospace community
• Previous experience with airplane programs
• Proven track record in team building, developing, and motivating employees
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with executive leaders
• Ability to adapt to a changing statement of work
