Material Technician

Responsibilities

• Audit the material and equipment receiving process, verifying compliance with purchase orders, invoices, and technical specifications
• Monitor physical receipt of materials at the construction site, checking quantities, integrity, identification, and associated documentation
• Perform periodic inspections in storage areas, warehouses, and work fronts, evaluating storage conditions, organization, and material preservation
• Register and enter invoices and material movements into the project's material control system
• Ensure traceability of received materials, maintaining updated records of entries, exits, and stock balances
• Support the identification and handling of material non-conformities, communicating deviations to responsible areas
• Interact with procurement, quality, planning, and execution teams to contribute to logistical control and material availability
• Support internal and external audits related to material control and project logistical processes

Requirements

• Completed Technical Course (Logistics, Mechanics, Civil Construction, Administration, or related areas)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the role, preferably in industrial works, infrastructure, or large engineering projects
• Knowledge of material and warehouse control in construction sites
• Experience with invoice verification and receiving documentation
• Proficiency with management systems or material control (ERP or construction systems)
• Understanding of material inspection and quality control
