Material Specialist III – Maintenance/Shipboard

Responsibilities

• Advise and support maintenance personnel to ensure a systematic approach to ground equipment maintenance operations
• Record and document maintenance actions, requirements, and equipment repair statuses in accordance with management policies
• Utilize maintenance information systems such as GCSS-MC to perform administration, technical research, and requisitioning of supplies
• Manage maintenance programs including MDSS II, PQDR, Calibrations, Modifications, Quality, Safety, and Tool Control
• Troubleshoot and solve problems related to maintenance production functions and engineering actions
• Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Four years of related experience
• Completion of Computer Operator Course or equivalent
• Completion of Basic Marine Corps Integrated Maintenance Management Course (or service equivalent)
• Completion of Combat Service Support Chief Course (or equivalent)
• Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access
