Material Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute material procurement plans to ensure timely acquisition of resources
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities
• Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels to forecast material needs
• Conduct market assessments to stay attuned to industry trends and supply chain dynamics
• Prepare and manage procurement documentation including contracts and purchase orders
• Coordinate logistics of material transportation and ensure project compliance
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives in material management processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in materials procurement and supply chain logistics, preferably in oil and energy
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance and material quality
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder interaction
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with supply chain software and tools is a plus
