Material Science Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Identify, lead, and implement optimization and continuous improvement initiatives for single-use technologies and items
• Assess raw material supplier change notifications, complaints, and technical feasibility of new manufacturing materials
• Perform technical evaluations of proposed raw material changes to manufacturing processes
• Support technology and process transfer from Process Development into cGMP manufacturing environments
• Manage raw material change requests, CAPAs, and action items using Veeva QMS
• Assist in the development of site and company standard raw material platforms and business practices
• Communicate project progress and status effectively to cross-functional teams

Requirements

• BS in Life Sciences with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an MS with 2 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in pharmaceutical single-use raw materials (bags, filters, tubing assemblies, drug product materials, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and large-scale manufacturing equipment and practices
• Experience with Quality Management System tools such as Veeva or TrackWise
• Understanding of industry standards and governing bodies, including USP and BioPhorum
• Proven experience in process and technology transfer to clinical or commercial operations
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
