Material Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Support Control Account Management (CAM) activities including baseline schedule and cost planning, IMS status, and variance reporting
• Identify material-related risks and opportunities and develop effective mitigation plans
• Aggregate engineering material requirements and translate them into Material Resource Planning (MRP) requirements
• Assist engineering in design trades to determine make/buy strategies, supplier sourcing, and material modifications
• Perform analysis on material requirements to provide program summaries, including lines of balance and key metrics
• Partner with procurement to assess costs and lead times, and with manufacturing to ensure parts are designed for manufacturing
• Execute processes for tracking material-related metrics such as supplier performance and lead times
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency and streamline workflows

Requirements

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in material management, procurement, manufacturing, or supply chain management
• Proficiency in using ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
• Knowledge of material planning principles and supply chain best practices
• Experience with DoD or government programs
• Experience in design development programs or programs with EVMS requirements
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and operate effectively in an ambiguous environment
