Material Planning and Logistics Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all MP&L operations, including material planning, procurement, inventory control, shipping, and receiving
• Manage logistics and transportation activities, including carrier relations and freight cost control
• Drive performance on key metrics such as inventory turns, fill rate, material variance, and on-time delivery
• Lead material handling and process improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing methodologies
• Supervise, mentor, and conduct performance evaluations for supervisors and team members across the department
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Production teams to optimize inventory levels and support production schedules
• Ensure adherence to all safety standards and company policies within the manufacturing facility

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution
• At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in logistics and/or materials management
• Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
