About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all MP&L operations, including material planning, procurement, inventory control, shipping, and receiving
- Manage logistics and transportation activities, including carrier relations and freight cost control
- Drive performance on key metrics such as inventory turns, fill rate, material variance, and on-time delivery
- Lead material handling and process improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing methodologies
- Supervise, mentor, and conduct performance evaluations for supervisors and team members across the department
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Production teams to optimize inventory levels and support production schedules
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards and company policies within the manufacturing facility
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution
- At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in logistics and/or materials management
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
