Material Planner

Responsibilities

• Use SAP data to prepare forecasts and plan component orders from suppliers
• Monitor stock levels and ensure on-time delivery to meet production requirements
• Escalate supplier issues regarding past due materials and create quality notifications
• Review and update released and planned orders on a daily basis
• Communicate with suppliers to expedite orders when necessary
• Maintain appropriate inventory balances and review obsolescence or off-balance stocks
• Review supplier deliveries against invoicing and manage packaging inventory
• Forecast and manage engineering change run-in and run-out processes

Requirements

• College degree or strong relevant professional experience
• 5 years of experience working with domestic and international suppliers
• Strong working knowledge of SAP
• Experience with JIT (Just-in-Time) and JIS (Just-in-Sequence) environments
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational, self-discipline, and assertive communication skills
