Material Planner

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans to support production schedules and minimize delays
• Release material from blanket purchase agreements based on demand and consumption trends
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage sub-component flow
• Resolve shortages, supplier delays, or quality issues to protect production schedules
• Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to analyze material, BOM, and process impacts
• Conduct impact analysis for inventory exposure and transition timing
• Manage operational execution including tracking delivery dates and monitoring supply risks
• Maintain compliance with ITAR/EAR and DFARS regulations

Requirements

• Must meet the definition of a US Person
• Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls
• Experience in an ITAR/DFAR environment
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong analytical and exception management skills
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems
• Ability to work in a cross-functional group

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain
• 5+ years of supply chain experience
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP
• APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP)
