Material Launch Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Order, track, and manage all pre-production materials required for build events, including tooling run-offs and customer testing.
• Support Program Managers in maintaining the build event matrix and accurate parts matrix revision levels.
• Execute the Red Flag escalation process for any material issues that threaten program timelines.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Packaging teams to manage returnable and expendable parts.
• Perform part delivery tracking, inventory management, and order quantity calculations for pre-production builds.
• Create requisitions and issue purchase orders to the supply base to support program timing.
• Support the implementation and tracking of the Change Management process.
• Maintain PO tracking by event and collaborate with the Commercial team to ensure costs are captured.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of automotive industry experience.
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Experience with change management processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or QAD.
• Ability to travel up to 70% within the US (Monday-Friday) as required by program needs.
