About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and organize operations teams responsible for material receiving, put away, unboxing, and distribution
- Ensure full compliance with GM safety and environmental standards through regular assessments and tours
- Drive continuous improvement using Global Manufacturing System (GMS) and Lean Material Strategy tools
- Review area scorecards and lead daily operations meetings to track business results and manage deviations
- Collaborate with material flow and packaging engineering teams to optimize equipment layout and packaging quality
- Audit material records and analyze variances to address shortages or excess inventory
- Support engineering changes, prototypes, and model change programs
- Improve labor utilization and productivity through effective manpower and equipment distribution
Requirements
- Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-7 years of experience in material handling or supply chain operations
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies
