Material Handling Associate

Responsibilities

• Grind scrap material for reuse in later product runs
• Set up and maintain grinder workstation, including skids, sacks, and chutes
• Manually feed scrap materials into grinder pits and monitor operations
• Ensure proper labeling of gaylords and color consistency of grinding runs
• Distribute regrind in flowbins and breakdown empty gaylords
• Report daily regrind to maintain inventory consistency
• Perform safety checks on flow bins and racks
• Collect and weigh vinyl scrap from production lines
• Maintain housekeeping standards and clean grinding pits daily
• Assist with maintenance and forklift safety inspections

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D.
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds individually and 100 pounds with assistance
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with loud noise, dust, and temperature extremes
• Manual dexterity and mechanical inclination

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience
• Ability to operate forklift equipment or multi-directional forklifts
• Experience with computer systems
