Material Handling Associate

Responsibilities

• Grind scrap material for reuse in later product runs
• Set up and maintain grinder workstations, including skids, sacks, and chutes
• Manually feed scrap materials and monitor grinder operations to prevent overloads
• Ensure proper labeling, color consistency, and stacking of gaylords and flowbins
• Report daily regrind to maintain inventory accuracy
• Perform safety checks on flow bins and racks
• Collect and weigh vinyl scrap from production lines
• Maintain housekeeping standards and clean grinding pits
• Assist with maintenance and forklift safety inspections

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds individually and 100 pounds with assistance
• Manual dexterity and mechanical inclination
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with loud noise, dust, and temperature extremes
• Willingness to learn forklift operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience
• Ability to operate computer systems
• Experience operating multi-directional forklifts
