Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately
• Receive, verify, and put away incoming vendor material and customer returns
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Maintain accurate inventory records and note any discrepancies or damages
• Follow all Health and Safety rules and legislation
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety
• Assist teammates in servicing customers at the counter

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
• Ability to learn to operate a forklift and material handling equipment
• Intermediate math skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using InforM3, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Previous experience in customer service
