Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise and deliver it to the appropriate person or location
• Rotate inventory and deliver stock to workstations
• Maintain high accuracy in records, computer data entry, and physical inventories
• Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain related records
• Write receiving reports for all incoming merchandise and daily issue reports
• Unload pallets and load/unload trucks as needed
• Pull and move stock to workstations while maintaining inventory counts
• Clean and restock workstations and perform general facility upkeep as necessary

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs on occasion and 50 lbs regularly
• Computer literacy and keyboard skills
• Valid driver's license (as may be required for driving delivery trucks)
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and walk for 8-10 hours per day
• Must be able to learn quickly through on-the-job training

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience
• Ability to be certified on Forklift and Stock-picker operations
