Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, store, verify, distribute, and ship stock, materials, supplies, and equipment
• Unpack shipments and verify goods against bills of lading, purchase orders, or packing slips
• Record received goods and notify supervision of any damaged, excess, or misdirected items
• Manage inventory levels using computer terminals and conduct regular cycle counts to investigate variances
• Follow all safety standards, including specific chemical handling procedures for gases and solvents
• Pick, pack, and ship materials in compliance with company, customer, and government regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• Successfully completed training and hold an active permit for in-plant mobile equipment operation
• Experience operating mobile material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and chain hoists
• Ability to handle chemicals, gases, and solvents safely
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and oral instructions
