Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Safely move, store, and retrieve materials at elevated heights using high-lift equipment
• Pick and stage orders according to work orders, pick lists, or RF scanner instructions
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate inventory by scanning, labeling, and documenting material movement
• Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including PPE use and load-handling rules
• Assist with general tasks such as palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and organizing storage areas
• Maintain clean aisles and work areas to ensure workflow efficiency and safety

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift or PIT certification (or the ability to obtain one)
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work at heights
• Basic computer or RF scanner skills for inventory tracking
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order handling
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse or material-handling experience
• Proven experience operating high-reach forklifts or similar elevated-platform equipment
