Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery and material handling equipment safely and precisely
• Strap pallets using 2-way or 4-way methods, strapping guns, and ergonomic machines
• Perform quality inspections by checking specifications against samples using measuring tapes
• Move strips and finished goods to maintain efficient production flow
• Manage documentation from the production floor and ensure it is properly filed
• Inspect incoming board and rolls to ensure flute, caliper, and sizes match purchase orders
• Use wrapping machines and perform hand wrapping as required
• Assist with truck loading using the buddy check system
• Perform miscellaneous assignments and general labor as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• Previous experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing setting
• Proven experience as a Forklift Driver
• Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
• Ability to handle complex issues and problems independently
• Capability to safely handle all products and materials

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to act as a lead and provide coaching or mentoring to subordinate groups
• Comprehensive knowledge of material handling subject matter
