Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Monitor material needs for production areas via visual inspection, work orders, or oral instructions
• Pick and deliver materials to appropriate machines or production areas using forklifts, cranes, and tow motors
• Track inventory movements by scanning labels and entering data into the Shop Floor Plus system
• Load and unload freight from loading docks or delivery vehicles using powered industrial equipment
• Prepare shipments by counting/weighing parts, organizing orders by destination, and scanning tracking information
• Maintain equipment storage areas and ensure inventory is protected and organized
• Perform secondary tasks such as constructing boxes, cutting materials to length, and cleaning scrap areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts (Friday through Sunday) and overtime as needed
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and stoop for 10 hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform repeated physical tasks
• Basic math skills, including knowledge of algebra, fractions, measures, and weights
• Computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment
• Experience with Shop Floor Plus or INFOR XA Power-Link
