Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound materials, verify shipments against Bills of Lading, and conduct trailer inspections
• Transport and store materials in designated locations using proper labeling and commodity organization
• Prepare and ship materials following CT-PAT standards and secure loads according to weight restrictions
• Stage materials based on pick lists with high accuracy to support order fulfillment
• Perform daily cycle counts and report discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy
• Maintain 5S workplace organization standards and follow all safety policies and PPE requirements

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0–1 year of warehouse or material handling experience
• Ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) including forklifts, reach trucks, and tuggers
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift in a warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training in logistics or warehousing
• 1+ years of experience working with scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
