Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Deliver and distribute work in process, finished goods, and raw materials to various facility locations
• Accurately scan materials to and from various locations
• Safely operate forklift equipment (Gas/Electric) and maintain battery changing equipment
• Complete forklift safety checklists and report equipment or product damage
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment through sweeping, dusting, and mopping
• Assist in physical inventory counts and cycle-counting to audit locations and quantities
• Load and unload materials on pallets, skids, or lifting devices
• Verify accuracy of incoming and outbound orders

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift certification/license
• Two years of forklift experience and/or training
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Ability to use a laptop or tablet for inventory and shipping reference
• Ability to hand-load up to 35 lbs and lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Ability to sit for long periods on moving machinery and stand, walk, stoop, or kneel
