Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Use a forklift and other powered or non-powered equipment to pull and prepare products for shipment
• Document materials and record units delivered and their specific locations
• Locate materials and supplies by verifying items listed on production orders
• Pull and stage finished goods following specific picking instructions for shipment preparation
• Ensure accuracy of product types and quantities against customer purchase orders
• Maintain cleanliness of inventory, warehouse/working areas, and machinery
• Communicate product shortages or damages to the Supervisor or Assistant
• Adhere to all workplace safety regulations

Requirements

• Forklift certification is required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Knowledge of inventory control processes
• Mathematical skills to calculate material needs
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Ability to read and analyze information and work independently
