Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Deliver raw materials to work centers promptly to support production operations and minimize downtime
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular counts and reconciliations
• Ensure all materials are correctly labeled, packaged, and inspected for damage
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate material handling
• Utilize warehouse technology such as JDE, RFS, and RF systems to track inventory movement
• Schedule, move, weigh, and stock products utilized in production
• Maintain mechanical aptitude to work with equipment such as dryers, grinders, and color feeders
• Identify and recommend opportunities for operational enhancements to increase efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proven experience driving powered industrial equipment (forklifts)
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with ERP systems
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a noisy environment
• Ability to push/pull objects up to 30 pounds
