Material Handler Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead to staff by providing work direction, prioritizing tasks, and assigning work.
• Train employees in all operational areas and perform the most complex warehouse operations.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and products.
• Perform forklift operations, including handling heavy and oversized pieces.
• Prepare and assemble orders, pick and count material, and load materials onto trucks.
• Complete and verify forms, labels, and documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Oversee warehouse maintenance tasks and identify potential operational concerns.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least five years of warehousing or related logistics experience.
• Ability to obtain Forklift Certification within 3 to 6 months of hire.
• Proficiency in Internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, including hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Strong ability to prioritize work and provide guidance to a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
