Material Handler II

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and efficient material handling, including picking, loading, unloading, and put away tasks
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, rider jacks, standup, order pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts
• Verify accuracy by signing bills of lading, cross-checking packing lists, and checking for damaged cargo
• Scan freight using RF equipment and warehouse management systems
• Load materials into vehicles and install necessary strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage during transit
• Maintain accurate records of units moved on daily production sheets and complete required paperwork
• Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean work environment

Requirements

• Greater than one year of related warehouse or material handling experience
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly by hand
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and climbing
• Basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure
• Must obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire
