Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming deliveries for damage and unsafe conditions before unloading
• Perform receipt functions by verifying documentation, counts, weights, and purchase order accuracy
• Maintain and file shipment receiving documents as official records
• Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and free of material accumulation
• Perform material picking operations to create kits per work order systems
• Transact material issues and shipments accurately within the company ERP system
• Label and package incoming materials for appropriate storage in designated stockroom locations
• Conduct daily cycle counts and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy
• Prepare accurate shipping documentation for domestic and international destinations, including customs documents
• Liaise with internal departments such as purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering regarding expedited items
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs individually (up to 75 lbs with team lifting)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role
• Experience with NetSuite
• Forklift Certification
