Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and administrative tasks involving shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and equipment
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, and part numbers against documentation
• Issue and move components and supplies from the warehouse to meet manufacturing requirements
• Document material transactions in electronic Materials Management systems
• Operate forklifts to move material within warehouse areas and in/out of trucks
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse areas
• Assist in preparing pharmaceutical products for domestic and international shipment
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with accounting to close Purchase Orders
• Participate in required annual hazardous waste training

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable MVR
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to operate a forklift

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, and shipping/receiving
• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
