Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts and raw materials to production areas in a timely manner to ensure adherence to schedules
• Count material, equipment, or supplies and update inventory records or report totals
• Prepare lists of depleted, defective, or unusable items
• Locate and extract information from files or online locations as requested
• Participate in physical inventory processes by entering data into the system
• Maintain tidy work areas and immediately report all safety incidents to a supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior material handling experience in a warehouse or industrial environment
• Ability to operate Power Industrial Vehicles (PIV) with testing required
• Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach, push, and pull for extended periods
