Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Unload and direct the movement of shipments from receiving platforms to storage and work areas
• Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments within the Warehouse Management System to ensure accuracy in product, quality, and quantity
• Gather and verify items for order picking containers for outgoing shipments
• Prepare essential documentation including packing slips, shipping labels, and bills of lading
• Maintain clean, orderly, and properly maintained warehouse work areas and equipment
• Replenish primary stock shelves from reserve stock locations
• Operate a forklift and perform driving duties as required
• Work after hours as needed to meet operational demands

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift certification
• Valid driver's license
• Hazardous material handling certification
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform mathematical functions
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 150 pounds occasionally with assistance
