Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely pack materials to maintain flow to the shipping department
• Check AS400 for orders, prepare necessary materials, and assemble boxes and skids
• Operate hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, and other handling equipment to move materials
• Maintain ongoing inventory accuracy and notify leadership of any control issues
• Collaborate with planners and supervisors to investigate quality or shipping issues
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within the packing area

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of Forklift experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform bending, twisting, or lifting from awkward positions
• Ability to push and pull cases weighing between 200lbs and 800lbs repetitiously

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment
