Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, distribute, and load materials, tools, equipment, and products using a forklift
• Load finished goods onto van and flatbed trailers
• Prepare orders according to specific order and pallet requirements
• Create barcodes for part identification and use RF/handheld scanners to manage inventory
• Report inventory discrepancies to the Team Leader or Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S standards
• Implement Lean and Quality Management systems and follow all safety procedures

Requirements

• Ability to complete GSI and OSHA forklift training within one week of start date
• Basic computer skills and ability to use RF/handheld scanners
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow precise instructions
• Effective communication skills to interact with peers and managers
• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (10°F to 105°F) and loud environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience
• Previous experience loading van or flatbed trailers
