Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the plant
• Utilize forklifts to move materials and load finished goods onto van/flatbed trailers
• Use Combi-Lift to transport and load long materials
• Prepare orders according to specific order and pallet requirements
• Create barcodes for part identification and scan inventory using RF and handheld scanners
• Report inventory discrepancies to the Team Leader or Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S Standards
• Follow all safety, Lean, and Quality Management system procedures

Requirements

• Successful completion of forklift training required within one week of start date
• Ability to use RF and handheld scanners
• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and managers
• Ability to stand for up to twelve hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience
• Previous experience loading van or flatbed trailers
