Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in combos/vats according to predetermined sequence
• Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distribute to production areas
• Record amount of materials or items received or distributed
• Operate forklift and automation system to move product throughout the manufacturing plant
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling and workspace area
• Protect employees and company safety and security through reporting and stopping occurrences
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Ability to work in cold and wet environments
• Ability to perform constant walking, standing, bending, and stooping
• Ability to frequent lift items up to 20 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior material handling experience
• Experience operating powered industrial vehicles
• Strong teamwork mentality
