About the role
Responsibilities
- Stock production lines with parts and containers and move metal coils, scrap, and finished goods
- Safely operate and position forklifts, tuggers, cranes, conveyors, and chutes
- Coordinate inventory levels and usage with the Shipping Scheduler and Material Coordinator
- Maintain accurate and legible record logs for all inbound and outbound movements
- Ensure all shipping scraps are properly ticketed and promptly removed from the work area
- Follow ECPL (Energy Control Power Lockout) procedures and obey all dock safety warnings
- Complete safety checklists at the start of every shift and maintain clean shipping aisles
Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts and tuggers
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 38 lbs
- Ability to push and pull at least 50 lbs
- Physical stamina for frequent standing, walking, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to work in a loud environment with parts that may be hot, cold, or wet
- Strict adherence to PPE requirements and safety protocols
