Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Unpack and check incoming goods against purchase orders or invoices and maintain accurate records
• Reject unsatisfactory, damaged, or defective items
• Operate equipment to move or expedite materials to proper storage locations or departments
• Store materials in designated locations after system receipt
• Examine stocks and distribute materials and supplies to manufacturing lines
• Monitor and control inventory integrity and research any discrepancies
• Prepare goods for final shipment and maintain shipping records
• Participate in safety culture, audits, and 5S programs
• Mentor Material Handler 1 staff and support continuous improvement activities

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• High School Diploma
• Forklift certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with ERP systems and data entry
• Ability to lift and frequently carry up to 60 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for up to 8 hours a day in a warehouse environment
