Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately
• Receive, verify, and put away incoming vendor material and customer returns
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Document shipping discrepancies and initiate freight claims
• Follow all Health and Safety rules and legislation
• Assist teammates with customer service at the counter

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn forklift operation and material handling equipment
• High level of attention to detail
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to learn order processing software

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing and building products
• Experience with M3, Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, or Outlook
• College or University degree
