Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive product, pick, pack, and ship customer orders
• Count, verify, receive, and put away incoming vendor material and customer returns
• Load and unload trucks and operate forklift and other material handling equipment
• Verify material against packing slips and enter data into computer systems
• Identify and store special order or damaged material
• Complete documentation for third-party carriers and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety
• Assist teammates in servicing customers at the counter

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and material handling equipment
• High level of attention to detail
• Legal authorization to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing and building products
• Experience using Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook
