Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process incoming vendor shipments and customer returns
• Enter received materials into the computer system to ensure accurate inventory records
• Pick, pack, and assemble materials for customer orders with high accuracy
• Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Complete documentation for third-party carrier shipments and dangerous goods
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards
• Communicate inventory discrepancies and safety concerns to supervisors
• Assist with customer service at the counter when required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience
• Strong attention to detail and intermediate math skills
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly
• Ability to learn and operate forklifts and warehouse management software
• Commitment to workplace safety and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification
• Knowledge of plumbing and building products
• Proficiency with Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience in a fast-paced distribution center environment
