Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Load and unload metal parts required for daily fabrication at the paint line
• Complete daily activities to ensure production goals are met in a 3rd shift environment
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information
• Maintain high quality standards and strive for zero defects
• Promote a safe work environment by following all basic safety procedures and using proper equipment
• Communicate job status between shifts to ensure continuity of work in progress
• Assist in continuous improvement processes to reduce costs and improve quality

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work day
• Ability to sit, stoop, and/or kneel

Preferred Qualifications

• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
