Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the transportation coordinator to follow shipping schedules and prepare all required documentation, including invoices and packing slips
• Coordinate and perform loading of outgoing shipments with proper packaging to prevent damage
• Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality, and tag materials with required information
• Move materials throughout the shop and load/unload delivery trucks using a pallet jack or forklift
• Complete quality check sheets to company standards and photograph projects to create a quality history
• Document damages, overages, or shortages and help update the status board to identify improvement areas
• Uphold safety policies and procedures and provide input on staffing and hiring decisions
• Train new team members and foster a positive, team-oriented culture

Requirements

• Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or related role
• Required forklift experience and ability to use basic hand tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong commitment to accuracy
• Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and improve
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use arms and hands for a full workday
• Active participation in drug and alcohol program
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP software (e.g., Infor Visual, Acumatica)
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards
