Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Fill client orders safely and efficiently following standard operating procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and rider jacks
• Load and unload materials onto pallets, racks, and shelves
• Load materials into vehicles and install necessary strapping or bracing to prevent damage
• Count, weigh, and record units of materials moved on daily production sheets
• Scan freight using RF equipment and warehouse management systems
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Less than one year of related experience
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to stand, sit, reach, stoop, and kneel for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in airport, airline, cargo, or aviation logistics environments
• Experience supporting aircraft maintenance or AOG operations
• Previous SIDA badge holder
